Another nice piece for this combination is Koechlin's Trio published by
Salabert (I think). Modern sounding and contrapuntal in a Bachian sort of
way (Koechlin admired Bach's writing). I've played it a few times.
Audiences seem to enjoy it and it is fun to play. Plus, Koechlin is one of
those "forgotten" composers whose music deserves more attention. He wrote
about 250 pieces, some great (like Jungle Book for example), some not as
great. But the Trio is quite nice.
