To All:

It is sad to see these flaming controversies erupt. I have seen it before,
when intelligent, sophisticated people who probably would get along just
fine in person, through the medium of email become embroiled in the internet
equivalent of road rage. Once I saw an excellent list close down because of
all the vituperation. I would urge all those involved to take a vacation
from the list for a few days, weeks, whatever. And when you return, try to
see that you are being victimized by your own emotions. Get some distance
from it. Don't take it all so seriously.
