Words can help here. "Tension" and "relaxation" set up a dichotomy.
"Flexible motion" allows for movement and power and energy when wanted.
The reaction of the muscles is not slowed by stiffness and tension.

The key points for the release of un-necessary tension are shoulders and
thumbs.
Frequently check these joints for flexible movement.

Use imagination to experience soft curved motions. Mime
*unrealistically* to conteract the tendency to gain tension. use soft,
light, dancing, stroking motion. curve and stroke the fingers.
