As a member of the doublereed list, I can assure
you that Mr. Lifschey (sp?) has been a major subject
for the past week. Nothing but wonderful things being
said about his artistry. (Plus some interesting
reasons for his leaving Cleveland...) :-)
On another subject... I am starting a clarinet
quartet at my college. We are all woodwind doublers
of various levels, but basically, 3 of us are fairly
strong players, with the fourth having just a little
less reading ability.
I am looking for some repertoire for clarinet
quartet (4 Bb, 3 Bb/bass, Eb/2Bb/bass, etc) that would
be good for us. Thanx alot!

P.S. Also, if anyone could recommend some ww quartet
music (fl/ob/cl/bsn; with or w/o doubles) of a
slightly less than professional level, that would be
great, too! Thanx again!
Terry Halvorson :-)
