It reminds me of the story that Jon Steward used to tell about the
player who brought his instrument to old Jim Howarth, complaining about
the intonation on a certain note.

"Can you do something about it for me, Jim?" he asked.

"What's wrong with it?" said Jim. "Do you want it sharper, or flatter?"

"Well, um.... could you just make it *better*?"
