Thanks! In my initial post, I neglected to mention the instrument I am trying
out is indeed a Selmer. I played it at a rehearsal and concert this weekend,
and liked it a lot.

Would an older instrument like this one have any maintenance issues I should be
aware of?

- Donna, who took six years of French and never came across "Depose" on any
vocabulary lists....
