No. I was not referring to fishing for my fly. I was referring to the
venerable art of attempting to attract members of the piscatorial type to an
artificial object constructed from a bent metal wire which has applied to it
various types of thread, feathers, and what nots. Surely you recognize the
activity which was described. The human participants usually cover themselves
with a classic tweed jacket, knee high rubber boots, wear a tam upon their
heads, smoke a pipe and freeze their manhood while attempting to toss the
artificial attractor in such a manner that it alights upon the waters surface
with the utmost of subtlety so as to not arouse unintended reactions of
fright within the object of their quest.

As the bore becomes larger, so does the thickness of the string. You know,
wrap the string more here and less there.
