Several adult beginners subscribe to this list. I love hearing from
enthusiasts who decide to take up music at *whatever* age and hope that more
and more people will do what you're doing. I think learning to make music is
much more satisfying than just listening to it. I hope you'll ask all the
questions you want to -- and I'll bet you can answer some, too.

We span a wide range of ages and musical experiences here. Most of the
professionals teach. They've been wonderful about answering questions. The
guy who made the snooty remark had only been reading this list for a week --
apparently not long enough for him to realize that this is a diverse group
and that most of us seem to prefer it this way. I've learned a lot from the
answers beginners get to the questions I never thought of asking. Welcome
and good luck!
