Welcome to the group...?

I haven't posted previously on the threads about notation, because I thought
it might not be a bad idea to shut up and learn something -- but the fact
that you subscribed to the list only last week makes your message so
intriguing that I can't resist asking: On such short acquaintance, how do
you know how much time the rest of us spend e-mailing as opposed to
practicing? Are you perhaps not only a professional clarinetist but a
psychic?

How interesting! I've never encountered a real psychic before. The ones I
run into all seem to be either self-deluded or frauds. Guess the crystal
ball hasn't yet had time to show you that several of the people
participating in these notation threads are professional clarinet players,
too. I think they probably do practice, once in a while, and may even have
picked up (no doubt by accident) some rudimentary skill at reading music, but
then I defer to your superior wisdom.

Lelia
...with all due respect.
