Dear Klarinetists,
I had a similar reaction to the long discussions many of you had
about "decrescendo" vs "diminuendo", but I felt so guilty about
appearing to be "rude" that I apologized. I also do really feel that
practice is more important than intellectual discussions. I really did
enjoy some of the results though, like HIP-PA-PO-TA-MOUS (Is that how
you spell it) as a way of feeling a measure of 5/4 time.
And I was very pleased with all the letters about my student's
"bunched-up" chin. Thanks to Ann Bell's letters and Ann Sattersfield's,
my student now has a beautifully pointed chin. I brought the letters to
her lesson and she loved them! ANNIE
