Yes, this is all normal.

Where did this 2/3 of a quarter note come into it? I thought you just
wanted the 7 triplet eighth notes in your bar.

OK, if that's what you wanted, then it's as you say. We thought you
wanted something more out of the ordinary.

By the way, the *only* important thing is that *your players* understand
