The high A is the next partial available in the series using an E
fingering. A couple of things can cause the A to pop out - incorrect
tongue placement in the soft palate/back of tongue, and accidentally
venting the thumb hole (LH). It is very doubtful it is your Zonda reed.

In my experience, what has helped me is to play long tones in the third
register (warn your neighbors!) at about a mezzo to regular forte, using a
metronome, and good support. Concentrae on the placement of your tongue and
this should clear up the problem.
