Is this a trend? Is clarinet music getting popular on the radio all of a
sudden? It seems to me that I'm hearing a lot more clarinets on classical
radio in the last six months, and that the stations here in the Washington,
D. C. area are playing more of a *variety* of clarinet music, including
interesting 20th century compositions, instead of just an isolated movement
of the Mozart concerto here and there. The other day I was surprised to hear
Thea King playing one of Howard Ferguson's "Four Short Pieces" on the radio.
