Klarinet Archive - Posting 000421.txt from 2000/11

Subj: [kl] "bj" ???

I've been listening to Jimmy Noone and trying to figure out the
instrumentation, which isn't obvious given the poor recording technology
of 70 years ago. (no trumpet or trombone or tenor/baritone sax in a
jazz band!) Some of the abbreviations in the liner write-up are
obvious: v@-----. But what does "bj" stand
for? A particular size of bass?

Thanks,
Bill
