The better undergraduate ear training classes go beyond simple juxtapositions
as these. I remember mid-terms during my sophomore year in college, having to
sing (solfege) the second line of an atonal quartet (Schoenberg, I think) while
playing the third line on piano, tapping the top line with a pencil in my right
hand, and tapping the bottom line with a foot -- each line effectively in a
different meter.
