Subj: [kl] Stolen clarinets
Date: Mon, 6 Nov 2000 10:10:57 -0500

Speaking of stolen clarinets, mine were stolen four months ago two days
before I left Oz for the ICA competition in Oklahoma. They've since
recovered them, in a pawn shop. Only problem is I'm now based in the UK, I
have a very nice set of RC Prestiges, and great Bay mouthpiece. I suppose
the old ones are now the property of the insurance company. Bummer, I'd
really like to see my babies again, I was quite attached to them. The
biggest irony is that the stupid bastard that stole them (my house was
broken into in the middle of the night while my family and I were there)
only got $A70 for them. He'll probably get off with a slap on the wrist,
with no idea of the emotional suffering caused to me and my family, not only
with the loss of something of value (clarinets were the only thing taken)
but also with the invasion of our living space.

People who steal clarinets should be flogged.
Kathy Williams
