As Walter Grabner has said, you are looking for is a key ROD, not a pivot
screw, which are the short ones with the pointy ends. I don't know about
other shops, but the woodwind tech in OUR shop has rod stock available in
many sizes and custom cuts and threads rods to fit when they are needed.
It is not a very expensive proposition, and since there is a lot of
variability in old instruments, you might want to have this done
professionally. Also to be noted, pivot screws come in MANY sizes and
types depending upon brand, and age within brand.
