....probably this is an unnecessary post, but the Greek word
"gymnos" is the root of our word "gymnasium". The Greeks felt that
athletics were most pure and most meaningful and most revealing of human
skill (or lack of it) if performed while naked. Hence the original
Olympic Games were performed naked.

Thus "gymnopedies" does not directly imply libertine or pedophlia.
