Very reasonable reply - nobody should have to incriminate themself.
However, I can't imagine anything "better" in the same style of that
particular recording, which is why I put such an unreasonable question.
I'm sure you would do it just as well but differently (as several others
have) anytime you felt inclined. Also sure you'd do it differently (can't
improve on perfection).

It's brilliant! -as others (eg Frank Garcia recently) independently confirm.
I've had a copy of the LP version almost since it was first released & more
recently the CD reissue and have never tired of listening to it.
Personally, I particularly love what I can only describe as the low register
"chugging" effect at c. bar 134 of the first movement.
If there's a classical equivalent of "hot", the way you did that bit defines
it perfectly.
I also admire the huge amount of preparation which must have been needed to
play K622 on a period instrument. The mechanics and logistics of finding
optimal fingerings must impose an even greater challenge than reading the
notes & perfecting details of phrasing & articulation. On that recording you
made it sound like an organic part of the music.
It must be wonderful to play in an orchestra of period instruments,
especially one of Berliozque dimensions. Quite apart from the winds, the
savage sound of narrow bore brass must be really exciting en masse. What
about a tour to Australia..? I wish.
Tim.
