I don't think it is as much a function of xenophobia as it is differences in
language usage. I for one enjoy reading the posts of those from the UK and
Australia. I do find I need to read carefully and gather nuance of
expression and word meanings that may be slightly different. Otherwise, I
can miss a subtle but important point someone wishes to make. For me, it is
a matter of reading and learning.
