Something else you might try -- it works for me -- is going to the hair care
section of any large chain pharmacy -- Eckerd's, CVS or the like -- and
looking for something called "end papers". They might also be available at a
beauty salon. For a dollar or so you will have enough to last a lifetime. I
have no idea how they are meant to be used, but they are about the size and
absorbency of cigarette papers, but much stronger. I got this tip from a
friend who plays oboe.
