Over the years, many people on this list have discussed intonation issues -
whether real or imagined with C clarinets. When I told my sax teacher I got
one - he immediately piped up "Oh, they all have intonation problems" and
then proceeded to tell me that mine has bad intonation when he played it -
even though I think it's fine.

I'm not saying they do have intonation problems, I'm saying they are rumored
to have intonation problems. In fact, I think there is some reason for
there to be a mismatch with a Bb mouthpiece. Mine seems to have better
intonation with the mouthpiece that came with it than it does when I pull a
mouthpiece off of a Bb clarinet and play with that one.
