I've played quite a few C Clarinets thru the years. They all had intonation
problems. There are two good reasons. One: Bb mouthpieces and reeds are
just a little too big for them. Two: manufactures simply have never felt
the economic urge to get off their butts and work out the details of making
really good C Clarinets. (Can't say I blame them, either.)
