Sheryl, what is the source of your assertion that the C clarinet has a
reputation for intonation problems? I know of no such traditional
wisdom, vigorously deny that such a phenomenon exists in a well-made
professional instrument, and know of no acoutical considerations in the
design of a C clarinet that would cause this to occur.

So what causes you to say that this possibility exists?
