I deleted the very first message on this subject, but I don't recall that
Jim's claim to have purchased the instrument at a police auction was verified.

I think that the poster who mentioned Jim's offer of Maserati parts which
allegedly were also purchased at a police auction was right on target.

Now that Jim's whereabouts is in the public domain (via a reverse directory
sorted on telephone number), it ought not to be too difficult to recover
the instrument, but one ought to act fast.
