It was a big hot & humid in Norman, plus the fact that they didn't
bother to let us know that the bus would always be late, and that if we
had opted to stay in the dorms & the caffeteria, then we would also have
to be jogging "athletes" in order to get our lunch and also make it to
all the events. But it was great fun.
Did anybody hear Paulo Sergio Santos? I fell in love with his
beautiful Brazillian playing and have transcribed some of his tunes off
his CD he was selling. Even though I have always played Buffet Clarinets
and Vandoren reeds & 5RV Lyre mouthpieces, I loved the beautiful tone he
got from his Rossi clarinet and all the interesting syncopations of his
