All I know is the wider my ensemble experience becomes, the better
musician i am in any situation.
Most of the people i admire have that versatility.
One of the advantages of the community college groups is the 'duplicate'
personnel (including the director) of chorus and band.
Our set-up is just the opposite problem to the question Roger G started
this discussion.
But the value of the other experience still applies.
