Fred is 100% correct. Unless a registered eBay user completes an eBay
auction transction with a seller or bidder, no feedback may be left on
eBay's system. This represents a change in eBay policy back 4-6 months at
least. Feedback, therefore, is specific to the parties to a given
transaction.

eBay does have a stolen property policy, see below:.

The user in question brought the auction down early, claiming he/she
"mis-labeled" the property. However, the reason, doesn't jive with contact
by our List owner. See below:

Finally, most every state & judisdiction has Unclaimed Property Statutes
(lost, stolen, found, etc.). If the law is followed diligently by the
authorities, there is little or no (read: usually *NONE*) recourse on the
part of the former (dispossessed) owner who had the property stolen from
them. However, if the authorities in question did NOT carry their duties as
prescribed by law properly --- if they were *NOT DILIGENT* --- then the
former owner has recourse to recover the property and (probably) damages
against the authorities in question. This can even happen with Real
Property involving a title; in that event a new title is given to the buyer
of the goods at what is usually an auction held by the state, city, etc.

I contacted David with some suggestions but he was busy today with musical
performances. This matter had just come to his attention.
