You know when I went to college, they didn't guarantee that I could any
specific classes not even those of my declared major (Aerospace
Engineering). I had to make sure I met the pre-requisites and that I was
early enough in line to get the classes I needed. There were students who
had to take some freshman classes as seniors just to graduate and there were
even a few students who had to take an extra term due to having missed a
class. There were occasions when students substituted alternate classes
that met the requirement instead of the one that they really wanted. It was
a big problem but did happen.

So what was I promised for my tuition. Look at the fine print. Not much
really, just the opportunity to attend and attempt to get a degree in my
chosen field. It was up to me to make it happen.

College is more like a smorgasboard. Plenty of "food" but no guaranteed on
selection.
