Don't suck. *smirk*

In all seriousness, though ... Half the trick with the throat tones is in
the right hand - drop it completely while playing the A.

1 - it'll clear up the throatyness of the tone (usually)
B - it'll bring the pitch in line better (usually) and
4 - by having one hand set already, you only need to move your left hand
for the slur, which is much easier to coordinate than two hands.
