Bill,

I think you bring up good points - all of which have merit. I have only a
couple of questions for you below.

What if the student doesn't come in second but comes in 10th? In other
words, what if the student auditions 18th for two ensembles which have a 12
person limit in the flute section (combined)? In fact, what if the student
is NOT qualified by virtue of his or her audition?

My last question wasn't meant to be leading. It was differentiating
between a performance major and a music education major.
