I have a four year old pennywhistle student who is doing just great.
However, it is going rather slowly since he can cover the holes with his
left hand, and the right hand is coming along, but not quite there.
I have attempted to start a children's pennywhistle method, just
for him. I call it "Avery's Pennywhistle Pages". The only "tunes" I
could come up with, using the 3 fingers of the left hand (B, A & G) were
HOT CROSS BUNS and MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG. I "added" one finger in the
right hand (F#) and came up with RAIN RAIN GO AWAY. Then I added one
more finger, (E) and came up with A TISKET A TASKET.
Does anybody know of any children's (young) books for Pennywhistle?
How about "memorable" tunes with 3, 4 or 5 note range? ANNIE
