I have a triple case that I purchased about 15 years ago from Harry Schmidt,
former clarinet instructor at Florida State University and a Selmer clinician
I met. I needed a triple case for my Bb, A, and Eb. He had unused two
triple cases and the one I have will handle two B-flats, one taken apart and
one left together and an A. I put a foam block in the top of the place for
the put together instrument and my effer fits fine. There is a very large area
for reeds and accessories. It is a briefcase style and it is really sturdy.
The kicker is that I asked him how much he wanted for it and he said since he
had been carting it around for years and had no use for it, he would sell it
to me for $30.00. This is probably a $250.00 - $300.00 case. One of the few
bargains I have gotten. I do not know if Selmer still makes this type of
case or not or if it was a specially made case.
