The original mouthpiece was in ebony and the sound in the upper register (in
particular from G4 to C5) was much better. Perhaps in the copying process
the shape of the chamber has been changed or this kind of shape is not
compatible with other materials.
I'm not an expert and that's why I'm looking for someone who can help me.

The material is very strange: dark gray and very heavy.
It seems to be graphite but it weighs to much.

This material has a big advantage: it is behaves as a thermos.
It holds the warmth (and intonation) for many minutes without playing.

If there is someone I can REALLY trust I could send the mouthpiece for an
accurate analysis.
