I was being somewhat facetious, of course, but conductors who have bizarre
notions regarding interpretation, sometimes just so they can make a
performance different and therefore "THEIRS" (ego trip) are very difficult
to live with. Legitimate differences of opinion can certainly coexist,
though, as long as they are based upon sound musicianship.
