We've just gone over the halfway point in meeting the goal of $4500 - since
last evening Karl Krelove, Daniel Leeson, Barry Cortis, Mitch Bassman,
Andrew Hilliard and Gilbert Guerrero have sent in donations via
http://www.sneezy.org/Pledge.html . Please consider donating if you haven't
already.

I now have a scheduled date for initial DSL line installation, the IP number
block has been assigned, and I've scrounged enough extra parts together to
provided a dedicated mail server for klarinet, not shared with the database
or web servers. The archive files will now be stored redundantly (on two
machines) along with being backed up daily on disk and tape, and the move to
the new location should be very smooth for the Klarinet, Clair, and
Clariperu mailing lists. I anticipate moving the mailing list first,
sometime in early November if the gods, SBC/Ameritech, Covad, and CAIS are
willing. The Web sites & databases will follow shortly thereafter.
