Exactly where is the 14.65 measured in a clarinet that has a "14.65 mm
bore"? Is it the top of the upper joint? Or is this the AVERAGE of the top
and bottom measurements? If so, wouldn't the different rates of bore
expansion from top to bottom in the different bore designs would render the
single number meaningless?

Just a thought- good thing I play a lot better than I think.
