Alex Williams lives up the street from me. Every now and then I bump
into him at the post office. He is married to Francis Blaisdell who
taught flute at Stanford. Their daughter, Alexandra Hawley, is now the
flute teacher at Stanford. Alex hasn't played clarinet for a number of
years, but he did give an interview to Mark Brandenburg who wrote an
article on Alex for Clarinet magazine. I think he is close to 90 now.
