Hi Everyone,

A very quick and effective way to clean mouthpieces is with Muriatic
Acid. This is available at pharmacies. One bottle will probably last
you a lifetime. Use it straight with a Q-tip. It will remove all white
"plaque" and everything else in a matter of seconds. No mixing,
soaking, or anything else. Please use sparingly and be very careful, do
not inhale the fumes, this is poison. Keep away from children!! It is
used among other things to clean rust deposits from rocks and remove the
silver from mirrors. Rinse mouthpiece thoroughly and there you go!

This was shown to me by Stanley Hasty at a lesson one time.
