One of my suppliers of obscure and sometimes ancient
broadcast tapes, for whose help I feel very grateful, has asked me
if I know (and I do not know), the personnel who recorded
the Mozart wind serenades with Kell directing on
Decca DL 9540 and Brunswick AXTL 1013 in or before 1953
They are the wind section of the NBC Symphony Orchestra
but the label does not say so, probably with clarinettist
Alexander Williams. Can anyone help put this jigsaw puzzle together?
What should I know about Alexander Williams?
In which other orchestras did he play and what are his dates?
