I'm going to re-type this paragraph. I was helping my 11 year old son with
his homework, and I see that what I typed was gibberish!

I found that two thickness of black electrical tape (placed on the body of
the instrument under the cork on the register key) resulted in dropping the
pitch of the B and the C about five cents. It had less of an effect on the
A, for which I was glad, since I had previously put some tape in the D/A
tone hole, (which I could do since both the D and the A were sharp).

Sheeeesh!
