...and while we're talking about swabs, don't throw your swab into
the laundry machine. I found this out last night. Usually I wash it
out in the sink, but I was doing a load of laundry last night, so I just
chucked it into the machine without thinking.
The weight on the end of the cord causes the cord to fall to the
bottom of the tub, slide under the agitator, and wrap around the drive
post during the spin cycle. If your machine is a few years old and you
live in a hard water area, the agitator won't come off.
I needed a new swab anyway.
