I don't think this has been mentioned in the discussion of one of the
reasons that different mouthpieces, etc. work best for different people.

Think about the variety that exists on the 'human' portion of the
mouthpiece connection:

symmetrical and not, variation of size and shape of teeth, lips, oral
cavity.
Differences in muscle strength.

Add this to differing concepts (or lack).
