Have someone measure the distance from your eyes to the music stand then tell
you optometrist you want the bifocal set for that distance. He/she will balk
at first but will give in once you explain why you want it that way. Once they
understand you have a legitimate reason for the unusual focal distance they
will be more than glad to help you.
