Alvin Swiney Says: <<Try an Extra small reverse bore Moennig barrel to compensate for the large backbore of your mouthpiece. The top of the barrel controls the upper register and the lower section helps
the throat tones. The taper design is critical in the resolution of your tuning problem.>>

Bingo!

Alvin, that's exactly what I did do. I took one of my Moennig tapered barrels and glued an insert into it. I had to try several times to get exactly the correct thickness of material.

Alvin continues << When tuning, don't pull out any. Instead, Add Tuning rings on the mouthpiece side of the barrel. The ring will decrease the overall volume of
the bore without horizontal voids or spaces.>>

Yup! (I presume you mean don't pull out between barrel and RRH joint).

Alvin again: <<Are you trying to play A-440 or A-442? You can't have both. You must drastically change you Set up to attain one or the other.>>

Again Yup! I was VERY fortunate to find myself playing with musicians who possessed a very keen sense of pitch, tuned to A-400, and STAYED there (OK, the violin crowded the pitch just a bit when she was in the stratosphere).

I cannot use this set-up in orchestra. I would be flat to everyone! We creep up to 442 so fast it isn't even funny.
