Assuming you have experimented with barrels intended to lower these
notes, and were unsuccessful, you may want to consider different
register tubes. You may want to experiment (on something other than your
good mouthpiece!) with reaming the upper portion of the bore of a
mouthpiece. I only suggest this to Walter because he is an experienced
refacer. For most clarinetists, this falls into the category of, "Kids,
don't try this at home." Personally, I'd start with register tubes.
