I have the same problem, both with music and with the computer. I had a
set of "reading glasses" (full size) made which I use for these purposes.
They focus best at about 12 - 20 inches, and thus are not really
satisfactory for reading per se. For vocal music, I use my regular
bifocals, since I hold the music lower than is usual for instrumental music
on a stand. I find I can see enough of the conductor, even though (s)he is
out of focus. Sometimes it's better that way!
