I have special "music reading" bifocals. The next time you visit your eye
doctor, take your instrument and a folding music stand in order to
demonstrate what you need. Mine have the line between the two sections set
directly in front of the pupil. The lower 2/3 of the lens area is set for
best vision at about 30 inches. The upper part is set for distance vision.
I could even see the conductor through this section, if I ever wanted to!
;-) BTW, these are also very helpful for using the computer, and for
conducting.
