Roger S., I am responding to your post because of a point I have wanted to make for a long time.

When you try a neew mouthpiece....don't use reeds that you have broken in on a separate mouthpiece. All this will do is lead you back to waht you were playing before.

Find out what the manufacturer/maker of the mouthpiece had in mind, then use NEW reeds to evaluater the mouthpiece.

Yes, this is harder, more difficult. It is the only way to honestly evaluate a mouthpiece.

I target my mouthpieces to Vandoren V-12 3 1/2 or 4's.
