It's a pretty common add-on nowadays for pianos. Unfortunately, it's also
put a number of musicians out of work - quality stores that used to have
piano players adding to the ambience of shopping now use these devices for
the background music.
Not a DVD, but either floppy or CD-ROM. They're a special type of file -
they record what a piano player does (including half pedaling, etc.) and
recreate the mechanical action. A little more sophisticated than a player
piano, but not much. Just replace the pneumatics with electronics.
I guess you don't like player pianos, either ...
